The American Cable Association's board of directors appointed Steve Friedman, COO of Wave Broadband, as vice chair. Friedman is one of ACA's most veteran board members, serving on ACA's board several times since the organization's founding in 1993.

The Cable Center named Bill Dorman as director of learning and development. During the past 14 years, Dorman has handled curriculum development, planning, strategy, new product implementation and advanced services skill development for United Cable, United Artists Cable, TCI, AT&T Broadband and Adelphia.

In connection with the launch of its new ICE Broadcast System, Imagine Communications appointed Chris Gordon as director of product management. Gordon joins the company from EGT where he was VP of product marketing.

Mixed Signals promoted Dan Donnelly to the newly created position of SVP of global sales and marketing. He joined the company about two years ago.

Scopus Video Networks (www.scopus.net) named Dr. Adi Bonen as CTO. Prior to this, Bonen was a consultant for cable equipment providers on new architectures, technologies and products.

Whaleback Systems appointed Peter Lojko SVP of operations. He previously ran his own wireless consulting firm helping technology companies promote their solutions to operators and standards bodies.
