  • Green The Cable Center announced the 2008 Cable Hall of Fame honorees. Most notably on the technology side was the naming of Richard (Dick) Green, president and CEO of CableLabs. The 2008 Class will be inducted during a celebration held in conjunction with Cable Days on October 15 to 17.
  • ICTV named Mark Dawson as VP, programming services of the company's ActiveMedia Group. He joins the ActiveMedia Group from Gemstar-TV Guide International.
  • Mondor Concurrent announced that Dan Mondor is joining the company to assume the role of CEO. Mondor is also joining Concurrent's board of directors. Coinciding with Mondor's arrival, Gary Trimm is retiring from his role as CEO and will resign from the board of directors.
  • SCTE announced the results of its Board of Directors Election 2008. The newly elected directors are:
    Region 3 (representing AK, ID, MT, OR, WA): Randy Love, Comcast
    Region 4 (representing OK, TX): Bob Macioch, Time Warner Cable
    Region 5 (representing IA, IL, KS, MO, NE): Rick Sullivan, Times Fiber Amphenol

    Region 8 (representing AL, AR, LA, MS, TN): Harold Kinnel, Ritter Communications

    The newly elected directors will begin their two-year terms at the SCTE Board of Directors meeting set for Tuesday, June 24 at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo 2008. Expo 2008 in Philadelphia.
