1) Samsung Boasts tru2way First -- CableLabs and Samsung announced their agreement on a new tru2way license that provides consumer electronics device manufacturers a streamlined license for their retail products to interface to two-way interactive cable nets. Samsung is the first consumer electronics manufacturer to sign this new agreement.

2) Comcast's Blazing Biz Class Speeds -- Comcast increased speeds for its Business Class Internet service tiers at no additional cost for those customers across the country. With download speeds up to 16 Mbps and upload speeds up to 2 Mbps, the connection is 10 times faster than standard 1.5 Mbps DSL and the phone companies' T-1 lines.

3) Charter to the Max -- Charter launched its High-Speed Internet Max service with download speeds of up to 16 Mbps. It's available to residential customers throughout most of the op's service area in Georgia.

4) Cox Gets MEF Nod -- Cox Business announced that it is MEF-14 compliant, a distinction bestowed by the global Metro Ethernet Forum and the hallmark of carriers who deliver advanced Ethernet services. Providers that attain the certification have the ability to offer QoS for Ethernet services, backed by service level specs.

5) SCTE Foundation Raises $225K -- The SCTE Foundation's Founding Donor Campaign raised donations/pledges totaling more than $225,000 from 75 participants. The Foundation's primary purpose is to provide expanded educational opportunities for SCTE members to assist them in their professional development.
